About Us

The Illinois Technology Development Alliance is a private, not-for-profit, professional services firm that helps high technology companies define and build their businesses.

Our programs advance the commercial application of ground-breaking technologies. We apply our internal commercialization expertise and leverage our ever-increasing national network of contacts, relationships, and resources to bring measurable economic growth to the regions we serve one company at a time. We measure our success by the companies we help create.

  

We are committed to identifying scalable, innovative businesses and to providing the hands-on help to move scientific and technological breakthroughs from the laboratory to the marketplace. In 2006, we helped clients raise $34 million in financing and create or retain more than 200 jobs.

The ITDA, formerly known as the Illinois Coalition, was formed in 1989 to vitalize Illinois' research infrastructure and help entrepreneurial ventures bring innovative technologies to market. We were spun-out of the Illinois Coalition in 2005, and since that time have expanded our reach to encompass the entire Midwest and have far exceeded previous years’ metrics.

We are headquartered at the DuPage National Technology Park in West Chicago, IL and maintain an office in downtown Chicago. We have six professional staff with extensive experience in business operations, product development, sales and marketing, and venture investment.

The mission of the Illinois Technology Development Alliance, a private, not-for-profit group, is to improve the Midwest economy through job and wealth creation by helping early stage technology businesses develop and commercialize their technologies, define and grow their businesses, and raise growth capital from public and private sources. Our creative approach helps provide the right kind of support and capital at the appropriate time.
