Board of Directors

Robert Cross is the CEO of Patron Systems, Inc., a supplier of secure software systems for government and first-responder agencies. He is also a partner at Batterson Cross Zakin, a Chicago-based venture capital investment fund. Previously he was CEO of DigitalWork, Inc., where he continues as chairman. His prior experience includes CEO of Cross Technologies, Inc. and president and CEO of Nanophase Technologies Corp., where he built the company from a lab-scale experimental technology to a $40 million initial public offering.

Michael T. Flavin is the founder, CEO, and Chairman of Advanced Life Sciences, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of new drugs to fight infection, inflammation, and cancer. He previously founded MediChem Life Sciences, where he led the completion of a $35 million private placement and the acquisition and integration of two companies as MediChem subsidiaries. Dr. Flavin is also adjunct professor for the Department of Medicinal Chemistry & Pharmacognosy at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Scott Glickson is a partner at McGuire Woods LLP. As co-chair of the Technology and Business Department, he advises software, technology-consulting, telecommunications, life science, and other technology companies in business organization, corporate finance, and commercial matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. He is experienced in a wide range of debt and equity financings, including venture capital and other private placements, public offerings, and commercial lending.

Arthur Holden is Senior Vice-President of corporate and market development at Illumina, Inc., a developer of tools and technology used in leading genome centers around the world. He is also founder and Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Biomedical Research Consortium, and he chairs the Advisory Board for the Biotechnology Program at the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management of Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.

Timothy Krauskopf is CFO of Gemini Traffic Sales, the company that merged with Round Lake Freight, the Chicago-based regional truckload carrier that Mr. Krauskopf founded in 2002. He has been an entrepreneur in several technology areas, including key positions at Motorola, Parlano, PCQuote.com, and The Field Museum of Natural History. He was also a co-founder and head of research and development at Spyglass, Inc., the commercial partner for the Mosaic browser that became Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

Michael E. Mikolajczyk is the founder and Managing Director of Catalyst Capital Management LLC, a private equity investment firm focused on business and healthcare services companies serving the middle market. Previously, he served as President and Vice Chairman of DiamondCluster International, CFO of Technology Solutions Company, and held several senior executive positions at MCI Communications, Inc.

Dick Reck is the founder and President of Business Strategy Advisors LLC, a business strategy consultancy that focuses on serving technology-based companies. Previously, he was a partner with KPMG LLP for nearly 30 years. Mr. Reck has served a variety of both public and private clients, from entrepreneurial ventures to well established multinational corporations. He sits on the board of directors of a variety of technology companies and is the founder of the Software Financial Executives Forum.

Harold L. Sirkin is a Senior Vice President and Director with Boston Consulting Group, a global strategy and general management consulting firm. Mr. Sirkin has been with for BCG for more than 25 years and currently serves as the worldwide leader of BCG's Global Operations Practice and the firm’s e-commerce work. Previously, he was the worldwide leader for BCG's Information Technology Practice. Mr. Sirkin has been an author of many esteemed journals evoking his areas of expertise.
