Under the NASA Illinois Commercialization Center (NICC) contract, Jack will serve as the focus of outreach and client services for technology based companies interested in exploring opportunities within NASA. Jack recently served as the Director of NICC under different management, and is intimately familiar with the center’s operations and the expectations of the NASA client and the companies that we serve.
Prior to joining ITDA, Mr. Curley was employed locally by Battelle Memorial Institute in both their Technology Research, Education and Commercialization Center (TRECC) sponsored by the Navy, and NICC where he served first as Marketing Manager and then as Executive Director. Before Battelle, Jack established Manufacturing Extension Centers in both Will and Lake Counties as an affiliate of the NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership program. His earlier career path progressed from engineering through sales, marketing, product and operations management, primarily in the electrical and electronic manufacturing environment. He also spent several years in a self-employed entrepreneurial endeavor.
Jack is a native Chicagoan and a life-long resident of the greater Chicago area, currently residing in Naperville. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a BSEE degree and received his MBA degree through the University of Chicago’s Executive Program.
