LeAnne Tourtellotte serves as the Director of Venture Development for the Illinois Technology Development Alliance where she focuses on facilitating the start up company growth through assistance with sources of funding (both private and federal), business plan review, assistance with investor presentations, and conducting due diligence for prospective investment opportunities under the Technology Development Bridge Fund. LeAnne’s experience in intellectual property management, technology licensing, business development, and start up company management, will be helpful in assisting ITDA’s client companies in the development and execution of their own growth strategies.

Prior to joining the Illinois Technology Development Alliance, LeAnne served as the chief operations officer of biotech start-up company formed to commercialize technology developed by researchers at the University of Chicago. LeAnne’s move to private industry came after spending almost a decade in academic technology transfer, first as a project manager where she assisted faculty in their entrepreneurial pursuits, and then as the Associate Director of the University of Chicago’s office of technology commercialization (UChicagoTech).
