John Noel serves as President of the Illinois Technology Development Alliance. With his previous experience as ITDA's vice president and program director, he has a vision for continuing the organization's measurable impact on the high technology economy of Illinois. His focus at ITDA is to expand the organization's leadership role in the technical community by building partnerships and relationships with the other private and public sector organziations that support entrepreneurial activity in Illinois.
Prior to joining the Illinois Technology Development Alliance, Mr. Noel served as Executive Director at the NASA Illinois Commercialization Center for Battelle Memorial Institute. Mr. Noel set the strategies and direction for building a portal for Illinois businesses into NASA and assisted NASA in their technology transfer activities. He also shaped an innovative awards program to support small technology companies progress to the next level of development. Under John's leadership, NICC was able to create substantial economic impact for Illinois by identifying and gaining access to NASA technology for Illinois companies to increase their competitiveness.
John's background extends into the medical device and technical service support industries. He has significant experience in operations management, business plan review, technology assessment, market assessment and strategic planning.
John graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago with a BS in Bioengineering. He received his MBA in Operations Management from Benedictine University.
