ANNUAL ITDA FEDERAL FUNDING SEMINAR
The ITDA's annual Federal Financing Seminar provides detailed information about NASA and Department of Defense (DoD) programs including the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs; Broad Agency Announcements (BAA), and NASA Space Act Agreements.
We Increase the federal research and development dollars that flow into this region by ensuring that area companies with a technology or product that could be of interest to federal agencies understand how to efficiently navigate the process to obtain grants or technology development contracts.
These seminars do more than educate. We introduce local businesses - both small and more established - to NASA and DoD personnel as well as leaders from other regional companies with the potential to partner on projects.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: At this program, start-up and early-stage firms will have the unique opportunity to network with angel investors from various parts of the country, and hear stories of their past deals. A panel of angel investors will discuss the criteria that were used to make some of their investments, what went right and wrong in due diligence, how relationships with their portfolio firms have evolved, and factors that contributed to the success and/or failure of their deals.
In addition to the panel discussion, there will be roundtable discussions hosted by the angels where entrepreneurs can ask questions and gain further insight into how that particular investor (or his/her network) makes investment decisions.
"Meet the Angels" is the only educational and networking program of its kind for entrepreneurs. One of the Coleman Center's most popular events, it has attracted nearly 500 attendees during the past two years, as well as some of the best known angel investors and networks from the Midwest.
