Illinois Technology Development Alliance Announces Board of Directors

Chicago, IL – January 18, 2005 – The Illinois Technology Development Alliance (ITDA), a public-private nonprofit that assists high-growth technology companies, has named nine prominent leaders from business, finance and government to comprise its initial Board of Directors.

The Illinois Technology Development Alliance provides access to capital, business development assistance, and access to federal technology development financing to high growth technology companies. ITDA identified board members who actively support ITDA's mission and have a strong interest in promoting the growth of new technology companies in Illinois.

Appointed to the ITDA Board of Directors:

"This board has some of Illinois' most successful entrepreneurs and practitioners in the art of nurturing young companies in leading-edge technology fields," said ITDA president Tom Thornton. "Illinois has much of the talent, capital and research to be a technology powerhouse. This new board will help ITDA stimulate the growth of promising technology companies and enhance the economic vitality of the state.

In addition to governance, ITDA's Board of Directors will play an important role in assisting the organization's early-stage technology clients.
