
Mikolaczyk, Zitny Join ITDA Board
Chicago, IL – July 7, 2005 – The Illinois Technology Development Alliance (ITDA), a public-private nonprofit that assists high growth technology companies, has named two new members to its Board of Directors: Michael E. Mikolajczyk, Founder and Managing Director of Catalyst Capital Management, LLC and Rus Zitny, Chief Operating Officer of LTW.
The Illinois Technology Development Alliance provides consulting services to high growth technology companies in raising capital, business development, and federal technology development financing. Mr. Mikolajczyk and Mr. Zitny will join the nine prominent leaders from business, finance and government who comprise ITDA's Board of Directors.
"Michael and Rus have been on both sides of a technology company's growth curve," said ITDA president Tom Thornton. "Their experience as successful entrepreneurs, as well as their network within large corporations will be of tremendous value to our early stage clients."
Michael Mikolajczyk has nearly thirty years of experience in high-growth telecommunications and IT consulting environments. He is the founder and Managing Director of Catalyst Capital Management, LLC, a private equity investment firm focused on business and healthcare services companies serving the middle market. He served as President and Vice Chairman of DiamondCluster International, a $400M publicly-held IT consulting firm, and was responsible for all inside operations of that firm, including human resources, recruiting, marketing, finance, legal and administrative functions. Mr. Mikolajczyk served as Chief Financial Officer of Technology Solutions Company and MCI Communications, Inc., two publicly-held professional services firms over a six-year span, with one attaining a market capitalization of more than $2.5B.
Rus Zitny has over 27 years of high-tech experience holding senior-level positions in the telecom, Internet, software and services space. Most recently Mr. Zitny is the Chief Operating Officer for LTW which has developed an exhaustive IT resource evaluation and asset inventory service, Reality Check (RC). Previously he was the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for I-Works, Inc. where he was recruited to assist in the development and execution of the company's business plan, resulting in the successful merger with Digital Work, Inc. Mr. Zitny was also the Area Vice President for Sprint PCS Chicago where he oversaw the development of its sales and distribution plan.
