Capital Raising

The access to early stage capital is absolutely critical to economic expansion through the formation and growth of high potential technology companies. We arrange targeted introductions, sponsor investor forums, and inform our clients and the region of federal and state funding opportunities through Funding Alert, our electronic dispatch. The opportunities listed in each week's issue provide application information; eligibility criteria and submission deadlines, and collectively offer a glance at what is available.

Since 1994, ITDA has managed events that showcase companies to the investor and corporate communities. Our commercialization process includes intensive modules to train entrepreneurs on how to develop and deliver the most effective investor presentation possible. When our clients are prepared and ready to raise capital, we help them filter potential sources and then arrange introductions to investors who would be most likely to have an interest in their products, markets, and industry.

We believe that a start-up business can benefit from investors who want to be involved in helping the business succeed. We seek out investors who are willing to guide and mentor their portfolio companies while respecting the duties and rights of the company founders, executives, and management team.

In 2006, the ITDA helped its client companies raise $21 million in equity financing and $13 million in federal technology development grant funds.
